HeartShard
Terms of Use
In short: HeartShard is a free game that is still being developed. You must be 16 or older. Don't cheat, respect other players, and don't share or sell your account. We may mute or close accounts that break the rules.
1. Acceptance
By playing HeartShard (the "game") or creating an account you accept these Terms and the Privacy Policy. If you don't accept them, don't use the game.
2. Age limit
The game is for players aged 16 and over. We ask for your year of birth when you create a permanent account; playing as a guest also confirms that you are 16 or older.
3. The game and the service
- The game is currently free and in development (alpha/beta). Features may change, be added or be removed.
- The game may sometimes be unavailable because of maintenance, updates or faults.
- At the end of a development stage (for example when Beta starts) characters, items and progress may be reset, announced in advance.
- The game is provided "as is"; we don't guarantee that it will run without interruptions or errors.
4. Your account
- A guest account is tied to that browser only; if the browser's data is cleared you may lose your characters. Add an e-mail and password, or link your Google account, to make it permanent.
- You are responsible for keeping your password secret. You may not share, sell or transfer your account, or use someone else's.
- Character names must follow the rules: no insults, hate speech, impersonating others or posing as staff. We may change an unsuitable name.
- You can delete your account at any time in Settings → Account → "Delete my account" (logging in within 30 days cancels the deletion).
5. Rules of conduct
The following are not allowed:
- Cheats, bots, macros or automation that plays for you; modifying the game client or its network traffic.
- Exploiting bugs and loopholes for your own gain (please report bugs in the game or by e-mail).
- Insults, harassment, threats, hate speech, sexual content, spam and fraud.
- Buying or selling in-game items, gold or accounts for real money or anything else outside the game.
- Sharing other people's personal information.
- Attacking or overloading the server, or trying to access systems you are not allowed to.
6. Moderation
For breaking the rules we may, depending on the case, warn you, mute your chat, remove you from the game, roll back items or progress, or close the account temporarily or permanently. To appeal a decision, write to support@heartshard.com.
7. Virtual items
Gold, items, mounts and other virtual content are part of the game; they give you only a personal, non-transferable right to use them in the game. They have no real-money value and cannot be exchanged for money.
8. Intellectual property
The game's code, art, music, sounds, texts and name belong to us or are licensed to us. You may not copy, distribute or modify them without permission. Sharing screenshots and videos of the game is fine.
9. Limitation of liability
As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect damage, interruptions or lost in-game content arising from the use of the game or from being unable to use it. This does not limit liability for intent or gross negligence, or the mandatory rights you have as a consumer.
10. Ending your account
You may stop playing and delete your account at any time. We may close accounts that seriously or repeatedly break these Terms. If we decide to shut the game down, we will announce it a reasonable time in advance.
11. Changes
We may change these Terms. We publish the new version on this page and update its version date; permanent accounts are shown it and asked to accept it at their next login.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye. The mandatory consumer protection rules of the country where you live as a consumer remain unaffected.
