The Cinder Phoenix

This boss's marks deal a fixed amount set for its level (50), in place of the blow multiples below: a move you could dodge 655 damage, a hazard 573 damage, its signature failed 901 damage, burning ground 197 damage a second. More levels and better gear mean more health, so the same hit takes a smaller part of it. Armour, shields and barriers turn aside at most 20% of it.

It rises out of reach and marks 1–6 lanes through the crowd (3 tiles wide, 20 tiles long; one for every 6), 2 s ahead; then it dives down them: 2.3 × a normal blow and a Burning Feather, and fire lies along each for 10 s (20 s in the firestorm).

TipStep out of the lane and keep off the fire. Nothing hits it while it is in the air.

Circles 2.3 tiles round under up to half of the crowd, 1.5 s ahead: 1.35 × a normal blow.

At 60% the Kindled chain it to their four stakes (no dives). Every 10 s the chained bird thrashes: a ring with two gaps 60° wide runs out to 14 tiles: 1.7 × a normal blow and a slow.

A green circle 4 tiles round near the crowd: in 5 s the blow comes down on those inside and is shared: 50% of full health for every 4 of the crowd, each taking at most 901 damage. Nobody inside: everyone in the fight takes 901 damage.

They land 9 tiles–14 tiles out and fly home at 1.3 tiles a second (1.5 tiles the next time) while the nest burns 2 tiles round. Step on one to stamp it out. Half of them out: it is dead. If not, it rises again (it only strengthens it, nobody takes a hit) with 5% of its health for each ember that got home (at most 35%), its blows 15% harder.

TipSpread out round the nest and meet the embers on their way; one flashing white is about to get home.

Its time is up: it goes berserk, its blows 2 × as often and 200 % harder, to the end of the fight.
